The history of the Gdańsk Zoo
The Gdańsk Zoo was founded in 1954 on the initiative of nature enthusiasts and animal lovers. Initially, it covered an area of only a few hectares, but over the years it systematically expanded until it reached its current area of 123 hectares. Thanks to the efforts of ZOO employees and the support of the city, the zoo in Gdańsk is constantly developing, taking care of animal welfare and ecological education of visitors.
Access to the Zoo from Marina Club Hotel
The Gdańsk Zoo is located approximately 10 kilometers from the Marina Club Hotel, which makes getting there relatively easy and convenient. You can use public transport. Buses no. 179 run from the Brama Wyżynna stop (about a 10-minute walk from the hotel), which will take us directly to the ZOO gate. The entire journey by public transport takes about 40 minutes.
The journey by car takes approximately 20 minutes. There is ample paid parking for visitors on site. Right next to the ZOO there is the well-known and popular Fischgarten restaurant, which is an ideal place for a short stop before sightseeing or to rest after a day spent at the ZOO.
